Meet the medical team

Dr Jonathan Herron – Medical Director
BMBS, PGCME, MSc, CMgr, MRCS, MFSTEd, FRSPH

Jonny Herron is a multiple award-winning researcher and plastic surgeon, currently working in St Thomas Hospital as a plastic surgery registrar. He has led an NIHR funded research project and published over 50 peer reviewed articles. He is on the Editorial Board for the BMJ Military Health and a reviewer for a variety of journals.

Jonny has previously been the District Clinical Officer for London South for St John Ambulance and the Clinical Lead for the Covid-19 Contact Tracing Centre Northern Ireland.

Jonny is a former athlete having competed for Ireland and Great Britain in a variety of sports and he also leads Research and Development at the Cavendish Clinic.

Dr Gagandeep Singh – Clinical Lab Director
PhD HCPC MRSB FIBMS

With more than 12 years of scientific laboratory expertise across a variety of roles, including R&D, and Genomics, Gagandeep heads up our laboratory operations & compliance. Previously worked for SAMPLED, Gagandeep was the Lab Director and Site Lead of a Genomics lab. Before that he led a number of Senior positions at different laboratories, where he successfully directed numerous projects from start to finish, and his work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals.

He has an extensive education history in the field of microbiology and biotechnology, holding a PhD in Microbiology and Sonochemistry and MSc in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.

In addition to his academic achievements, Gagandeep is a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science, and a Member of Royal Society of Biology. He also retains his HCPC Registration, as recognized by The Health and Care Professions Council.

Professor Brian Franks – Managing Director
BDS(U.Lond), LDS RCS(Eng), MSc, MFGDP(UK), FPFA, FEWI, ACIArb

Brian is a Visiting Professor, City of London Dental School for the MSc Programmes, University of Bolton and the Programme Clinical Director & Co-Producer of their MSc in Aesthetic Non-Surgical Interventions programme. He is the Principal of Dr Brian Franks Training in association with Wynyard Aesthetics Academy. He was a member of Health Education England (HEE) Expert Reference Group, regarding the provision and training for aesthetic non-surgical interventions and is currently a member of the Medical Board of CCR (Clinical Cosmetic & Reconstructive) Expo.

Brian was the former Clinical Director, Dentistry for Bupa for over 14 years (2000 to 2014) and he is a member of The City of London Dental School (CoLDS) Research Ethics and Review Committee (CREC). CREC is an overarching Committee of the School affiliated to the University of Bolton (UoB) for a consideration of ethical issues arising from research that involves human participants, personal data-information, clinical records, laboratory-based research including animal experimentations.

Brian is also a Fellow of the Expert Witness Institute and has worked as a Medico-Legal Expert Witness ever 25 years, as well as being an Associate of the Chartered Institute if Arbitrators.
